What kinda surprised me was that Bruno's family didn't notice that he was gone quicker. What also kinda surprised me was that Gretel didn't tell their parents about Bruno's Imaginary Friend. None of my predictions really came true but I thought it was a good book none the less. I would recommend this book to a student who is into the historical fiction genre. And lastly I would want the author to put more perspective into Shmuel's character so we knew some more about him too.

Here lies the final blog post for the foreseeable future. Good day my jolly hopkins.
The novel didn't surprise me much. It didn't have much action or surprising events. The only part that surprised me was at the end. It was definitely not what I had predicted. I wouldn't really recommend this book to anyone like me, who isn't really interested in this topic, but maybe someone who would like to learn more about the time period, would enjoy it. It would be a little better if the author would add more details from Gretels point of view, or just more details about Shmuel. They didn't tell much about Shmuel, although Shmuel was the one that was in the striped pajamas.

I am surprised that the author chose to have Bruno and Shmuel die at the end of the book, even though it was kind of nice that they died together holding hands. I was surprised that Bruno's family took a while to notice he was missing. I didn't really have any predictions for this book and I would recommend this book to kids who like to read about the holocaust and if they like to read about what it was like for the people living at the concentration camps.

In the beginning of the book there was no real action in my opinion. There was no real surprises until the ending part of the book. The last pages were extremely surprising and shocking to me because it is a very different ending than I had expected it to be.

The beginning was pretty slow but it escalated quickly, although no real events took place until the ending witch by the way wasn't very good in my opinion. the fact that Bruno died with Shmuel in the end wasn't was really disappointing. It was a good book overall though.

Like I said before this book took a while to progress with no real action until the middle/ending, I was surprised that the author chose to have Bruno die in the end. My predictions did not come true in the book. I thought that Bruno would establish a successful system meeting Shmuel every day, not to have them die. I would recommend this book to students who are into history. The author should have kept the two boys alive instead of killing them, like they could have stayed friends even into adulthood.
